Aussie Hoops

Aussie Hoops basketball mascotSpringwood & Districts Basketball Association today launched a new and improved local Aussie Hoops program which is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.

Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official junior game development program for children. In July 2014, Basketball Australia re-launched the national program announcing a refreshed brand strategy and implementation process.

At Springwood & Districts Basketball Association, the program will be delivered in each school term on Saturdays from 9 – 10 am. Each terms program will span eight weeks, with Term 4  programs commencing on Saturday 17 October 2015 (please note program will not run on 7/11/2015).

Competition commences the week of 6th October (No games on Monday as it is a public holiday)

U16 women – Playing Monday nights

U19 women– Playing Tuesday nights

U12 Men– playing Wednesday nights

U14 men – playing Wednesday nights

U16 Men – playing Tuesday nights

Court fees of $50.00 per team are payable for all Junior Games in the Finals.

Mens Comp – Duty Roster Thurs. 3 Sept

Duty Allocation:
The first team mentioned on the draw will be required to carry out duty for the next game (on the court which you have just played).
The following exception to this rule applies to the 18:50 timeslot: whereby the
first mentioned team on the draw provides duty for the 18:00 timeslot; and the second mentioned team must provide duty for the 19:40 game.
